Oluchi Njoku

Youth Advocate for environmental justice

Oluchi, whose pronouns are she/her/hers, is originally from San Diego, CA. She made her connection with Stockton when she decided to move there to attend the University of the Pacific to study environmental science. Experiences she has that might be relevant to this program is her experience working as an environmental justice intern at Catholic Charities' Environmental Justice Program. Oluchi is a senior with plans to graduate with her degree this May in which she recieved education in environmental law, environmental literature/studies, ecology, biology, etc. Oluchi is passionate about environmental justice because she believes in ensuring the preservation and protection of a healthy accessible environment for all living beings is crucial for our future. Oluchi’s hobbies are, but not limited to, going to the beach, writing books, painting, reading, trying new food, and relaxing with her family. Her professional goals are to get experience as a field scientist and environmental justice advocate before attending law school to eventually start her career as an environmental attorney.
